Malaysian actors urge discipline as fame fuels tardiness and rumor backlash
Veteran actress Nisdawati Nazaruddin, 48, said that a lack of discipline among some performers stems from feeling “too comfortable” after reaching popularity. She backed fellow veteran Fasha Sandha’s criticism of actors arriving late to sets, stressing that punctuality and clear communication are essential for smooth production. Nazaruddin also blamed managers for failing to enforce professional standards.
Young actress Sharmaine Alexander, 25, rejected being labelled a “problematic artist” and clarified that rumors about her undergoing facial filler injections are unfounded. She emphasized her desire to be seen as professional and positive, stating she will not tolerate baseless accusations that could harm her reputation.
