Malaysian driver completes 7,000 km Tesla journey to China
A Malaysian driver, identified as KZ, successfully completed a 7,000-kilometer journey driving a Tesla Model 3 Long Range from Kuala Lumpur to China. The trip, which took over 20 days, involved traveling through Thailand and Laos before crossing the border into China.
KZ noted that the abundance of charging stations in Thailand helped mitigate range anxiety during the expedition. The driver chose this route to return the vehicle to its place of origin, the Gigafactory Shanghai, marking what he described as a personal challenge to test the capabilities of electric vehicles for long-distance, cross-border travel.
