Malaysian Factory Worker Ahmad Shah Killed in Stabbing in Eumseong, South Korea
Ahmad Shah, a 26‑year‑old Malaysian who had been employed at a South Korean factory since 2019, was fatally stabbed three times in the abdomen, shoulder and hand during a brawl in Eumseong, Chungcheongbuk‑do, on Thursday. He had married Nurcahaya Ruslan in April and was planning to return to Malaysia later in the year.
His family received the news after an early‑morning call from his sister‑in‑law, who said Ahmad had been attacked while responding to a friend’s request for help during the fight. Police have detained a Malaysian man in his forties as part of the investigation into the incident.
The death has prompted condolences from relatives, who described Ahmad as sociable and generous, and highlighted the shock felt by his mother, who considered him her closest child.
