Malaysian Football League clubs receive merit-based revenue distribution

Malaysian Football League (MFL) clubs have expressed relief following the merit-based revenue distribution for the previous season. The payments, received in early September, are intended to assist clubs as they prepare for the 2026/27 season.

Executives from Negeri Sembilan FC (NSFC) and Terengganu FC (TFC) noted that the funds are critical for managing cash flow and meeting planned operational commitments. NSFC CEO Faliq Firdaus highlighted that financial certainty is essential for sustainable club management and praised the MFL for maintaining clear communication regarding the distribution process despite delays.

Similarly, Terengganu FC's Acting CEO, Mohd Syahrizan Mohd Zain, stated that the distribution helps ensure current requirements are met without disrupting established financial plans. Other clubs, including Sabah FC, also benefit from the funds to reorganize their financial workflows.
