Malaysian hotels unveil mooncake gift boxes for Mid‑Autumn Festival

Penang Marriott Hotel launched its 2026 mooncake collection titled “Moonlit Heritage, Timeless Connections”. The four‑drawer luxury box showcases Penang icons – the trishaw, the hotel itself, the Penang Bridge and heritage shophouses – and includes four premium flavours such as Pandan Paradise with Golden Yolk and Imperial White Lotus with Golden Yolk. Michael Farag, Multi‑Property General Manager, said the aim was to create “more than a mooncake gift”.

Sunway Resort Hotel introduced the “Garden of Moonlight” collection, presented in a jade‑coloured, lantern‑inspired gift box that can be repurposed as a wine‑bottle holder or decorative lantern. The box contains four handcrafted mooncakes from a range of seven flavours, including classic White Lotus Paste with Single Egg Yolk and modern Sea Salt Chocolate. Pre‑orders were priced at MYR 288 for the box, with an early‑bird discount for orders placed before 9 August 2026.
