Malaysian Immigration Department raids Kuala Lumpur entertainment center
The Malaysian Immigration Department (JIM) conducted a special operation at an entertainment center near Jalan Klang Lama in Kuala Lumpur, resulting in the arrest of four foreign nationals. The detainees, aged between 21 and 31, include three Chinese men and one Filipino man. Initial investigations revealed that none of the individuals possessed valid travel documents or passports to reside in the country.
The operation, carried out around 12:05 a.m., was the result of a month-long intelligence gathering effort and public information. It was conducted by the Intelligence and Special Operations Division of the Putrajaya Immigration Headquarters in collaboration with the National Anti-Drug Agency (AADK).
The entertainment center reportedly offers dance performances by foreign nationals and has been operating since last year, targeting both local and foreign customers in the Klang Valley. Fees for services, including drinks and table reservations, range from RM53 to RM700. The foreign nationals are being investigated under Section 6(1)(c) of the Immigration Act 1959/63, and three local men have been issued notices to assist with the investigation.
