Malaysian political groups strengthen communication ahead of elections

Political entities in Malaysia are intensifying communication efforts ahead of upcoming electoral activities. The UMNO Information Department, Barisan Nasional (BN), and Friends of BN held a meeting in Kuala Lumpur to strengthen coordination and communication networks among party members. The session, attended by leaders including Datuk Seri Azalina Othman Said and Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abdul Kadir, focused on navigating a dynamic media landscape through interactive discussions and idea sharing.

Simultaneously, the Community Communication Department (J-Kom) is developing strategies to counter the spread of false information and negative narratives. Director-General Mohd. Hisyamuddin Ghazali stated that over 80 programs are underway to ensure the public receives accurate facts regarding government achievements, particularly in preparation for the Melaka state election.
