Malaysia's MyKhas fund directed solely to public projects

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim confirmed that the MyKhas allocation is a special fund under the Prime Minister’s Office, intended exclusively for development and welfare projects that benefit constituents, not for personal use by Members of Parliament. Communication Minister Datuk Seri Fahmi Fadzil reiterated that the Prime Minister has full authority over the fund’s distribution and that the Unit Penyelarasan Pelaksanaan (ICU) of the Prime Minister’s Department manages applications. The mechanism varies by state; in Petaling Jaya the fund is coordinated through the local branch chief, while in areas such as Ampang it is overseen by the Prime Minister’s Political Secretary. No restrictions prevent MPs from accessing the fund, but all disbursements are routed directly to the public.
