MALBA Puertos Escobar celebrates anniversary with Argentine art exhibition

To mark the second anniversary of MALBA Puertos Escobar and the 25th anniversary of the MALBA Museum, the exhibition ‘HOLA, ¿ESTÁS? Arte argentino entre los 90 y los 2000 (y algunas interferencias históricas)’ has opened. Curated by Alejandra Aguado, the exhibition features approximately 60 works, including paintings, sculptures, and videos, exploring Argentine artistic production from the 1990s and 2000s. The collection includes pieces in dialogue with artists such as Antonio Berni, Roberto Aizenberg, Pablo Suárez, and Guillermo Kuitca.

Additionally, the Salas del Bosque is hosting a wire sculpture installation by artist Mariano Ullúa. The exhibition is free to the public and will remain open until February 28, 2027. During the inauguration, Eduardo Costantini noted that visitor numbers have grown from 250,000 in the first year to over 400,000 currently. Local Mayor Ariel Sujarchuk also attended, emphasizing the importance of public-private collaboration in cultural investment.
