MALBA to host historic Frida Kahlo exhibition in South America
The Museo de Arte Latinoamericano de Buenos Aires (MALBA) is set to host “Viva Frida,” a historic exhibition marking the museum's 25th anniversary. This marks the first time the exhibition, organized in collaboration with the Frida Kahlo Museum of Mexico, will arrive in South America.
Curated by Circe Henestrosa, the showcase features 365 original pieces, including clothing, jewelry, photographs, letters, and personal objects belonging to the influential 20th-century artist. Elina Costantini, founder and director of the Argentina Fashion Week (SAC), noted the personal significance of the exhibition, citing her long-standing admiration for Kahlo’s strength and energy.
