Malcolm-Jamal Warner estate dispute involves $4 million settlement claim
A legal dispute has emerged regarding the estate of the late actor Malcolm-Jamal Warner. His mother, Pamela Warner, claims that his widow, Tenisha Warner, declined a settlement offer totaling approximately $4 million.
The conflict follows a $1.2 million lawsuit filed by Tenisha Warner against Pamela Warner. Tenisha alleges that Malcolm failed to honor a 2022 prenuptial agreement, specifically claiming he had not secured a promised $1 million life insurance policy with her as the sole beneficiary. She also seeks unpaid monthly payments for her former roles as his chief of staff and assistant.
Pamela Warner has countered these claims, stating she attempted to resolve the matter privately. According to Pamela, the proposed settlement included a $2 million life insurance policy, a $2.4 million retirement plan for Tenisha, and a separate Georgia trust intended to provide for Malcolm’s daughter, MacKenzie. Pamela is now seeking court approval for a settlement with MacKenzie’s court-appointed guardian to resolve the estate matters.
