Maldito Paris launches first Brazil runway show at São Paulo’s Cine Copan

Brazilian designer Francisco Terra presented his label Maldito Paris in its first Brazilian show on 24 July at the Cine Copan in São Paulo. The collection, titled “Fantastic Fashion Fetish,” combined fetish, fantasy and maximalist elements, pairing black‑and‑white “shadow” looks previously shown in Paris with brightly coloured pieces inspired by Brazil’s Carnival and the 1986 passage of Comet Halley. Terra explained the concept as “the illuminated version of Parisian shadows.”

The event was accompanied by a pop‑up store and an exhibition in the Galeria Pivô, also at the Copan building, running from 25 to 31 July. A special collaboration with the candy brand Icekiss produced an exclusive Tutti‑Frutti Geladinho flavor, sold only at the pop‑up. The show and related installations highlighted the brand’s aim to expand globally and engage Brazilian audiences.
