Maldives secures $860 million tourism loan from BML for 2024‑2026 projects
The Maldives Ministry of Finance has arranged a USD 860 million loan from the Bank of Maldives (BML) to fund tourism‑related projects for the 2024‑2026 period. The agreement follows earlier financing rounds of USD 249 million (2021‑2023) and USD 142 million (2024), with future commitments of USD 284 million (2025) and USD 226 million (2026).
