Maldives National University and CINEC Campus partner on maritime education

Maldives National University (MNU) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Sri Lanka’s CINEC Campus to enhance cooperation in maritime education, training, and research.

The agreement aims to modernize maritime curricula in response to industry shifts such as digitalization, sustainable operations, and evolving international standards. The partnership will facilitate knowledge sharing, professional capacity building, and joint research initiatives between the two institutions.

This collaboration follows the transition of MNU’s Centre for Maritime Studies into the Faculty of Maritime Studies, a move intended to expand advanced academic and professional opportunities within the maritime sector. CINEC Campus, recognized as a major private maritime faculty in Sri Lanka, brings extensive experience to the partnership.
