Maldives resorts announce special programming for Golden Week

Maldivian resorts are preparing special programming to coincide with the Chinese Golden Week celebrations.

The Halcyon Private Isles Maldives, located in the Gaafu Alifu Atoll, is offering a family-oriented escape from October 1–7. The experience focuses on a slower pace of travel, emphasizing privacy and connection through shared island activities and a relaxed atmosphere.

Kuda Villingili Resort Maldives has announced an eight-day program running from October 1–8, 2026, to mark China’s National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival. The resort will feature themed dining, including a Dragon Buffet, Chinese Roast Duck, and interactive Hot Pot experiences. Additionally, the Kuda Fiyo Kids Club will host cultural workshops and games designed to introduce younger guests to Chinese traditions amidst Maldivian island activities.
