Maldives President orders suspension of popular TV show over misinformation

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu said a television program titled “Divi …” is spreading false information and causing public confusion. He called on the media regulator to halt the broadcast and investigate the content. The show, which has attracted tens of thousands of viewers, has aired more than 300 episodes – reports cite figures such as 344, 352 and 352 episodes – and generated significant public attention. Muizzu urged officials to take immediate action to stop the program until the concerns are addressed.
