Regional infrastructure projects expand public lighting in South America

Various regional governments in South America are implementing infrastructure projects focused on public lighting and urban improvements.

In Argentina, Governor Osvaldo Jaldo inaugurated paving for 10 blocks and approximately 7 kilometers of public lighting in the Monteagudo commune, Simoca department. The works aim to improve urban connectivity and road safety.

In Uruguay, the Maldonado administration invested in new LED lighting for Balneario Solís and Balneario Bella Vista to enhance visibility and security. Additionally, the government of Salto is studying urban monitoring and video surveillance models in Maldonado to develop its own technological management plan.

In Ecuador, the national government, through CENTROSUR, is investing over USD 400,000 to install 400 LED luminaries along the Cuenca–Molleturo–El Empalme road. The project, scheduled for completion in November 2026, is intended to improve visibility and safety for over 10,000 daily users in areas prone to fog.
