Maldonado announces $10 million sanitation project for Punta del Este
Authorities in Maldonado have announced a sanitation investment exceeding $10 million for Punta del Este. The project, announced by Intendant Miguel Abella and OSE President Pablo Ferreri, aims to improve local quality of life and environmental preservation.
The works are scheduled to begin in the first half of September. The initial phase involves an investment of $10.5 million, part of a broader $15 million plan that will result in 40 kilometers of sanitation networks and 1,250 domestic connections. Targeted neighborhoods include Jardines de Córdoba, Marly, Beverly Hills, Deauville, and Lugano.
Additionally, OSE is working on replacing water pipes on Avenida Gorlero and Calle 24. The project is supported by a $55 million trust that may be expanded to fund further works throughout the department.
