Maleace Asamoah joins Port Vale on loan from Wigan Athletic

Winger Maleace Asamoah has joined League Two side Port Vale on loan from Wigan Athletic. The 23-year-old attacker, who holds dual English and Ghanaian nationality, moves from League One to the lower division for the remainder of the 2026-27 season.

Asamoah's move follows a recent loan spell with Shamrock Rovers in Ireland. His career has included stints in Greece and various English clubs, including Tottenham Hotspur as a youth player and Fleetwood Town. The loan agreement with Port Vale is scheduled to conclude on May 31, 2027, at which point he is expected to return to Wigan Athletic.
