Malenovský wins world title and sets record in Changwon
In international shooting competitions, athletes from Slovakia and the Czech Republic achieved significant success.
Slovak para-shooter Radoslav Malenovský won the gold medal in the R1 discipline (air rifle standing SH1) at the World Championships in Changwon, South Korea. Malenovský set a new world record with a final score of 251.2 points. This victory also secured his qualification for the 2028 Paralympic Games in Los Angeles.
In Eisenstadt, Austria, Czech shooter Stanislav Hromada secured a full set of medals at the World Muzzleloading Championships. Despite facing technical issues with his equipment and logistical challenges, Hromada won gold in the team Colt discipline and bronze in the percussion revolver event. His teammate Miroslav Malůš also contributed to a bronze medal.
