Malevizi Festival draws crowds in Gazi with musical performances

The 4th Malevizi Festival is underway in Gazi, featuring a variety of musical performances and cultural activities. The event has seen significant public participation, drawing crowds to Mich. Katsamani Square.

Recent performances included Nefeli Fasouli and Panos Vlachos, who presented a program of contemporary Greek music. Other performers contributing to the festival's energy included Batala Creta, Sotiris Margaritis with the Despicables Band, and Konstantina Touni.

Malevizi Mayor Menelaos Bokeas stated that the goal is to evolve the festival into a stable cultural institution that responds to public expectations while remaining connected to local traditions. Local cultural associations have also participated by showcasing traditional products and local heritage. The festival concludes with a focus on Cretan music and tradition.
