Malevizi hosts final 3x3 Basketball Cretan Series tournament
The fourth season of the 3x3 Basketball Cretan Series by choco BIG concluded with its ninth and final tournament held on August 29 and 30 in Gazi, at Michael Katsamani Square. The event was organized in collaboration with the Municipality of Malevizi, the Region of Crete, and Nets Sports Events.
Forty teams competed in the tournament, which featured five age categories. The under-18 championship was won by the team ‘Kouts pou eisai’, who also secured a 400 euro prize. Other category winners included Three Lions in the under-11 division, Kounoupidia-Warriors in the under-13 division, and Avengers in the under-15 division. The over-18 category was won by the team ‘Oikodomi’. Thanasis Stamoulos was named the winner of the free throw competition.
The tournament was attended by local officials, including Malevizi Mayor Menelaos Bokeas. Major sponsors included Fresh Snack, Faisos supermarkets, and Galatianos spare parts store.
