The meeting focused on strengthening dialogue between the judiciary and the media, reviewing recommendations from the forum held in Bamako, and discussing the balance between law enforcement and press freedom.

In Senegal, National Assembly President Ousmane Sonko met with Cheikh Bass Abdou Khadre, a senior religious spokesperson for the Mouride brotherhood. The discussion emphasized the need for political stability, the proper relationship between legislative and executive powers, and the role of religious guidance in public affairs ahead of the upcoming Grand Magal of Touba.
