Mali launches 2026 Sports Biennale with cultural ceremony

The 2026 Sports Biennale has officially opened in Mali, featuring a choreographed performance by Karim Togola’s team. The ceremony, which emphasized national unity and Mali’s cultural and artistic potential, was presided over by Prime Minister Abdoulaye Maïga and attended by various government officials.

A highlight of the opening included a parade of delegations representing Mali’s 19 administrative regions. Sporting events are scheduled to take place at the 26 Mars, Mamadou Konaté, and Ouezzin Coulibaly stadiums through August 16, 2026.
