Malian musicians announce major concerts in Bamako and Paris

Malian musical artists are preparing for significant performances in both Bamako and Paris. Mariam Bâ Lagaré, known as ‘Lagaré’, is scheduled to perform a 100% live concert titled ‘Concert Vrai’ on September 19, 2026, at the Centre International de Conférences de Bamako (CICB). This marks her return to the national stage in Mali following several years of international touring.

In Paris, Sidiki Diabaté will perform at the Accor Arena on September 18. The concert focuses on Mandingue music and themes of peace, serving as a major European showcase for his heritage. Diabaté, a member of a 72-generation lineage of griots, follows the legacy of his father, the renowned kora virtuoso Toumani Diabaté.
