Malik Jakupović attracts interest from Chelsea and Dortmund

European football clubs are competing for the signature of 17-year-old Philadelphia Union striker Malik Jakupović. Borussia Dortmund has shown long-standing interest, having previously submitted bids between €2 million and €3 million that were rejected by the MLS club.

Chelsea has recently joined the race for the 1.91-meter tall forward, alongside other major clubs including RB Salzburg, VfB Stuttgart, and AS Monaco. Philadelphia Union has indicated they are seeking a transfer fee in the double-digit millions, as Jakupović is under a long-term contract running until 2030.

The American youth international, who has also expressed eligibility to represent Bosnia and Herzegovina, has recently made an impact at the senior level, including scoring his first professional goal in MLS.
