Malik Nabers is active for Giants' Week 1 opener against Cowboys

New York Giants wide receiver Malik Nabers has been declared active for the team’s Week 1 season opener against the Dallas Cowboys. The decision follows a lengthy recovery period after Nabers suffered a torn ACL and meniscus in Week 4 of the 2025 season.

Nabers, a Pro Bowler as a rookie, had been a game-time decision throughout the week. He participated in full practices leading up to the game but remained listed as questionable as he worked toward his return. The player emphasized that the decision to play was personal, stating, “It’s my career. It’s my body. I know when I’m able to play.”

To prepare for his potential absence, the Giants elevated wide receivers Braxton Berrios and Dalen Cambre to the active roster. The return of Nabers provides a significant boost to the offense led by quarterback Jaxson Dart and head coach John Harbaugh.
