Malik Nabers progresses in injury recovery with New York Giants
New York Giants wide receiver Malik Nabers is making progress in his recovery from a torn ACL and meniscus damage sustained during the 2025 season. After undergoing surgery in late October 2025 and a subsequent clean-up procedure, Nabers has transitioned from individual drills to participating in team periods during training camp while wearing a no-contact red jersey.
Head coach John Harbaugh indicated that Nabers may be able to shed the no-contact jersey as early as this week, provided his progress continues. While the Giants aim to have him ready for the season opener against the Dallas Cowboys on September 13, Nabers has expressed a cautious, long-term approach to his health.
Despite his positive physical response to training, fan sentiment remains divided regarding his availability for Week 1. Nabers, a Pro Bowler who recorded 1,204 yards during his rookie season, was limited to only four games in 2025 due to the injury.
