Malik Nabers returns to team drills at Giants training camp
New York Giants wide receiver Malik Nabers has reached a significant milestone in his recovery from a torn ACL in his right knee. During a recent training camp session in East Rutherford, Nabers participated in team drills while wearing a red no-contact jersey.
While he is not yet at full capacity, the 23-year-old moved beyond individual drills to react to play calls and defensive alignments. Wide receivers coach Chad Hall noted the increased intensity of the session compared to previous walkthroughs. During the practice, Nabers accidentally struck Hall with his helmet, resulting in a busted lip for the coach that required stitches.
The next stage of Nabers' progression involves increased participation in 11-on-11 drills as the team prepares for the season opener against Dallas on September 13.
