Malik Nabers' availability for Giants season opener remains uncertain

New York Giants wide receiver Malik Nabers remains uncertain for the team’s season opener against the Dallas Cowboys on September 13. Nabers is recovering from a torn ACL suffered last season and has undergone two surgeries to repair his knee.

While Nabers has progressed from individual drills to participating in team sessions and has moved out of the non-contact red jersey, he has not committed to being ready for Week 1. He stated that while he feels “real good,” there are still specific physical and mental “checkpoints” he must complete before participating fully. Nabers emphasized that his goal is to be healthy enough to play all four quarters rather than returning on a limited snap count.

Giants coaching staff noted that the team is planning for multiple outcomes, including the possibility that Nabers may be unavailable or only partially active for the opener.
