Malika Ayane releases new album ‘Cicale’

Italian singer-songwriter Malika Ayane has released her new album, titled ‘Cicale’, via Carosello Records. The release marks her first new studio work in five years.

Ayane described the album as a culmination of four years of songwriting and one year of production. The title ‘Cicale’ (Cicada) serves as a metaphor for the long period spent ‘underground’ during the writing process before emerging to sing. The artist noted that the project was developed without the pressure to follow market trends, focusing instead on a selection of ten songs from approximately one hundred written during this period.
