Malkajgiri property owners to receive relief from survey error

Nearly 10,000 property owners in Malkajgiri, India, are set to receive relief following the correction of errors in the 22-A prohibited properties list. The issue stemmed from discrepancies in Waqf property records, where several survey numbers belonging to Mallapur village were incorrectly listed as part of Malkajgiri. This error prevented residents from registering or conducting transactions involving their properties.

The Telangana Waqf Board has acknowledged the distinction between the two villages after reviewing documentary evidence. Specifically, the Board clarified that Survey Nos. 3, 103, 104, 105, 145, 146, 147, and 148 to 154 belong to Mallapur, while the remaining survey numbers in the relevant Gazette notification pertain to Malkajgiri.

The correction process involves the publication of a modification in the Official Gazette. The resolution follows interventions by Malkajgiri MLA Marri Rajashekhar Reddy and scrutiny by the Commissioner and Inspector General of Registration and Stamps, Telangana.
