Mall Curicó announces 49 billion peso expansion project

Mall Curicó has presented an expansion project to the municipality of Curicó involving an investment of 49 billion Chilean pesos. The initiative includes the construction of 42,000 square meters of new space in the western sector of the shopping center.

The expansion will add approximately 11,000 square meters dedicated to more than 70 new small and medium-sized retail stores, nearly doubling the current number of brands. Additionally, the project includes the construction of two levels of underground parking, totaling approximately 27,500 square meters and providing roughly 400 parking spaces.

Construction is scheduled to begin in the first quarter of 2027, with the underground parking expected to be ready by late 2027. The commercial opening of the new stores is projected for the second half of 2028. The project is expected to create approximately 450 permanent jobs, bringing the total workforce of the center to around 1,870 people.
