Mallikarjun Kharge accuses Election Commissioner of BJP bias

Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge has accused Chief Election Commissioner Ganesh Kumar of acting as a puppet for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Speaking at a Congress Working Committee meeting in Delhi, Kharge claimed that the Commissioner's actions have been biased toward the ruling party and called for his immediate removal from office.

The Congress party has presented several key demands regarding election procedures, including the public disclosure of all data related to changes in voter lists and providing opportunities for voters removed from lists to appeal. Additionally, they requested that voter lists be provided to all political parties in a simplified format within a specific timeframe.

Kharge further demanded that election procedures be made fully transparent to prevent information suppression. He also alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been pressuring the Election Commission to facilitate his resignation, suggesting that the Prime Minister should also take responsibility and resign due to such pressures.
