Mallorca police report vehicle theft attempt and roommate assault

Two separate criminal incidents have been reported in Mallorca. In sa Pobla, a 34-year-old man was detained by the Guardia Civil and local police after attempting to steal from a vehicle. The vehicle owner discovered the suspect in the driver's seat and managed to lock him inside the car, preventing escape until authorities arrived.

In Peguera, a 25-year-old man was arrested following a violent dispute with his 33-year-old roommate over the use of common areas in their shared residence. During the altercation, the suspect allegedly threw a boiling pot at his roommate's head and threatened him with a knife. The victim required medical attention and six stitches for head injuries sustained during the attack.
