Mallorca solar eclipse 2026 draws hotel crowds

On 12 August 2026 a total solar eclipse will sweep across Europe, with the path of totality crossing the Balearic island of Mallorca. The event, the first total eclipse visible over the island in recent memory, will occur in the late afternoon as the sun sits low on the horizon, offering striking visual conditions.
