Malmö police suspect Videdal shooting is extortion attempt

Police in Malmö suspect that a recent shooting in the Videdal residential area was an attempt to extort a local business. On October 8, several shots were fired into a villa where people were present, though no injuries were reported.

A suspect, a boy under the age of 15, was apprehended approximately one hour after the incident. Authorities believe the minor may have been recruited to carry out the attack.

Investigators have linked this incident to a previous attack on the same company's premises about a month ago, where bullet holes were discovered in windows and the facade. Police are currently investigating whether these actions are part of a coordinated effort to force the company to pay a large sum of money.
