Malo-les-Bains puppy found alive in garbage container

A puppy was discovered alive inside an underground garbage container in Malo-les-Bains on Sunday, September 27. Firefighters performed a delicate rescue operation, extracting the animal, providing oxygen, and stabilizing it on-site.

The puppy was subsequently taken to a veterinarian in Calais by the SPA due to its critical condition. In response to the incident, local officials, including Dunkerque council member Charles Neuquelman, have requested that the public prosecutor in Dunkerque open an investigation to identify and punish the person responsible for the act.
