Malpensa Airport launches auction for 82 lots of unclaimed items

Malpensa Airport has launched the second phase of its online auction for unclaimed and lost items left by travelers in Terminals 1 and 2. The auction, running from September 28 to October 2, features 82 lots of various goods.

Items up for bid include electronics, luggage, clothing, and miscellaneous objects such as microwaves, air fryers, fishing rods, tablets, bicycles, and even roller skates. Before being put up for sale, all luggage is inspected by airport operators to ensure no sensitive documents, weapons, or illegal substances are included.

Items are typically held for one year to allow legitimate owners to reclaim them. If they remain unclaimed, they are auctioned via the Fallco Aste portal, managed by G.I.V.G. (Gruppo Istituto Vendite Giudiziarie). Participants must register on the platform and provide a deposit equal to 10% of their offer.
