Malpensa Airport theft: Man arrested with 15,000 euros in stolen goods

A 32-year-old Algerian man was arrested by Carabinieri at Malpensa Airport after stealing a trolley containing approximately 15,000 euros worth of designer clothing and accessories. The theft occurred on the evening of September 9 in the car rental area of the airport.

The victim, a foreign entrepreneur, noticed the bag was missing while completing rental paperwork at a desk. Surveillance footage allowed authorities to track the suspect as he moved through the crowd. Carabinieri officers intercepted the man on a departing train at the Malpensa railway station, where he was still in possession of the stolen goods.

The stolen items were recovered and returned to the owner. Following the arrest, the Busto Arsizio Court validated the measure and ordered the suspect to be held in custody until his next hearing.
