Malpensa Airport to host Sara Forte rock music exhibition

The “Rock Icons. Aerei e aeroporti nelle leggende del Rock’n’Roll” exhibition by artist Sara Forte will be held at Malpensa Airport’s Terminal 1, La Porta di Milano, from October 1, 2026, to January 31, 2027.

Promoted by SEA Aeroporti di Milano and curated by Luciano Bolzoni and Fortunato D’Amico, the project integrates large-format painting, digital language, and video installations. The exhibition explores the intersection of the rock and roll explosion and the rise of global commercial aviation between the 1950s and 1970s.

The work features seven legendary musical icons: The Who, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Queen, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, and U2. These bands are presented through light installations using the Quadruslight technique, aiming to transform a transit space into a place of contemplation for travelers.
