Malësi e Madhe: German national arrested after allegedly attacking police
A 47-year-old German national, identified as Jan-Friedrich Krebs, has been arrested in the village of Pjetroshan, Malësi e Madhe, following an incident involving an alleged attack on police officers.
The incident began around 17:30 when a 27-year-old Albanian man reported that another vehicle had thrown gasoline onto his car near a fuel station close to the Han i Hotit border crossing. Police intervened and stopped the suspect vehicle in Pjetroshan.
According to police reports, the German national refused to identify himself and allegedly attacked two patrol officers, identified as inspectors S. B. and I. S., with a knife. The two officers were injured and transported to a hospital for medical assistance. The suspect was neutralized and taken to the Malësi e Madhe Police Station for further procedural actions as investigations continue.
