Malta and Quartu Sant’Elena discuss twinning agreement

The Ambassador of the Republic of Malta to Italy, Daniel Azzopardi, met with the Mayor of Quartu Sant’Elena, Graziano Milia, to discuss the formalization of a twinning agreement between Quartu Sant’Elena and the Maltese city of Birkirkara.

The initiative aims to establish a stable institutional relationship to facilitate cultural and commercial exchanges between the two municipalities, their citizens, and religious communities. This bond is rooted in a shared devotion to Saint Helena.

As part of the upcoming celebrations for the patron saint, a delegation from Birkirkara, including municipal authorities and members of Parliament, is expected to visit Quartu Sant’Elena. A Maltese musical band is also scheduled to participate in the festivities.
