Malta International Airport expects peak passenger traffic in August
Malta International Airport is preparing for its busiest travel days of the year, with approximately 42,000 passengers expected on August 13 and August 20. High passenger volumes are anticipated during the first half of the day throughout the month of August.
Travelers are advised to monitor flight statuses due to potential disruptions caused by volcanic ash from Mount Etna. To manage the peak period, the airport provides various amenities, including the La Valette Club departures lounge, which operates 24/7, and a separate VIP lounge in the arrivals area.
New retail additions at the airport include brands such as Charlotte Tilbury, Creed, and Victoria’s Secret, alongside new food and convenience outlets. The airport also offers dedicated family security lanes and parental rooms to assist travelers with children.
