Malton Open Day returns in 2026 to support Racing Welfare

The 2026 Malton Open Day, organized by Racing Welfare, is scheduled for Sunday, September 6. The event features various top-class training yards opening to the public to provide a behind-the-scenes look at the horse racing industry while raising funds for charity.

Sponsored by Arena Racing Company (ARC), the event allows visitors to tour yards from 08:45 until 12:00. Participating locations include the yards of Adrian Keatley, Craig Lidster, John Wainwright, Mick & David Easterby, Richard & Peter Fahey, Ollie Pears, Suzzanne France, Sara Ender, and Mike Sowersby. Additionally, Jack Berry House, the Injured Jockey’s Fund’s rehabilitation and fitness centre, will be open for visits between 11:00 and 14:00.

In partnership with York Racecourse, Racing Welfare is offering combined tickets that allow attendees to visit the training yards in the morning and attend the YorkMix Family Raceday in the afternoon.
