Malu Mader celebrates 60th birthday

Brazilian actress Malu Mader celebrates her 60th birthday this Saturday, September 12. Born in Rio de Janeiro in 1966, Mader has maintained a career spanning over four decades, becoming a prominent figure in Brazilian teledramaturgy.

Her television career began with a debut on TV Globo in 1983 in the soap opera ‘Eu Prometo’. She achieved early prominence in the 1986 miniseries ‘Anos Dourados’ playing Lurdes Maria, and later starred in notable productions such as ‘Top Model’ (1989) and ‘Celebridade’ (2003), where her role as Maria Clara Diniz became one of her most iconic performances.

While she has taken periods of distance from television in recent years, she has continued to appear in various productions, including ‘Haja Coração’ in 2016 and more recently in 2024.
