Maluma: The career and life of Colombian singer Juan Luis Londoño Arias

Juan Luis Londoño Arias, known professionally as Maluma, is a prominent Colombian singer, songwriter, and entrepreneur from Medellín. A leading figure in urban music, reggaeton, and Latin trap, he rose to fame following his 2011 single ‘Farandulera’ and achieved international success with his 2015 album ‘Pretty Boy, Dirty Boy’. His discography includes award-winning works such as ‘F. A. M. E.’, which earned him a Latin Grammy.

Beyond music, Maluma has expanded into acting, debuting in Hollywood in the film ‘Marry Me’, and has provided voice work for Disney’s ‘Encanto’. His business ventures include his record label, Royalty Records, a fashion collection at Macy’s, and interests in fragrances, hospitality, and spirits.

In his personal life, Maluma is in a relationship with architect Susana Gómez. The couple has a daughter, Paris, and announced in May 2026 that they are expecting a second child, a boy.
