Maman bakery to open in Gaithersburg, Maryland

French-inspired café and bakery Maman is planning to open a new location in Gaithersburg, Maryland. The bakery will occupy part of the former Buca di Beppo building located at 112 Kentlands Blvd. in Kentlands Market Square.

Maman will share the building with Mattress Warehouse, which is expected to occupy approximately half of the space. The storefront was previously slated for Tatte Bakery & Cafe before those plans changed earlier this year. Construction is currently underway at the site.

Founded in New York City, Maman offers a menu of French-inspired pastries, including croissants, kouign maman, scones, and beignets, alongside specialty coffee drinks and various café items. The company has been expanding throughout the DMV area and recently reached its 50th location in Dallas.
