Mamata Banerjee vows TMC's return to West Bengal power
Mamata Banerjee, leader of the Trinamool Congress (TMC), claimed during a rally in Kolkata that her party will soon return to power in West Bengal. Addressing a gathering for the foundation day of the Trinamool Chhatra Parishad (TMCP), Banerjee accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of seizing power through ‘theft’ and asserted that the state's citizens would soon reverse this situation.
Banerjee criticized the current administration and police for what she described as the use of muscle power and excessive security for opposition leaders. She expressed frustration over road closures and administrative hurdles that she claims hinder TMC activities and public movement.
In response to legal challenges, Banerjee issued a warning to the BJP, stating that she is prepared to fight cases in the Supreme Court and even suggested she would approach an international court if necessary. She encouraged students and youth to engage in democratic protests and stated she would begin touring various districts, regardless of whether official permissions are granted.
