Mambako to present musical ‘Dorado’ in Bogotá

The Colombian musical group Mambako, led by multidisciplinary artist Oniros, will present ‘Dorado: Espíritus de Luz’ in Bogotá. The performances are scheduled for September 3 and 11 at 7:30 p.m. at the Centro Cultural Gimnasio Moderno.

Written and stage-directed by Not Gerónimo, the production integrates music, theater, dance, and live percussion. The show features more than 30 artists and utilizes a live batucada to drive the narrative. The story follows a character named Iris on a journey to recover the ancient gifts of the ‘Corazón de Oro’ to navigate the underworld after a mysterious disappearance disrupts the balance between light and darkness.

Oniros, the group's general director, stated that the project aims to use music as a force that connects and transforms, inviting the audience to experience the power of community through percussion.
